Ich nutze Uptime-Kuma von Louislam dazu, Ausfälle von Diensten, die ich für mich und meine Familie hoste, zu überwachen. Geht ein Dienst offline, merkt das Uptime-Kuma nach spätestens 5 Minuten, wartet dann noch 90 Sekunden und benachrichtig mich danach über einen privaten Discord Channel per Webhook. Ein Problem zeigte sich bei einem Betrieb hinter Cloudflare. Bei vielen selbstgehosten Diensten greift man über HTTP zu, also nutzt man am besten HTTP zum überwachen....

Another technology rant from me, this time about Pihole. However, I’m not interested in complaining about Pihole, Pihole is software that I really enjoy using. It’s just decisions made by the Pihole Project that are suboptimal on all levels. In short, Pihole blocks network traffic. Primarily advertising, but also analysis traffic from software and devices. A lot of devices transfer astonishing amounts of data back to the manufacturer, of course all in order to be able to offer you a better service and not because it is worthwhile to sell it on to third companies, often in violation of data protection....

When I tried around integrating images into Hugo, I always used the standard Markdown function.  I always found this option quite inadequate. You can set little to no options that you actually want to set. The standard IMG tag was also “mehh”.
